Our editors – memoirs, novels, poetry, non-fiction books; articles, reports

Our team of editors are experienced in editing poetry, memoir, autobiography, family history, novels and short stories (fiction), non-fiction publications and reports. We do structural editing (or developmental editing), copy editing, and/or proofreading, as well as collaborative poetry editing and coaching in prose and poetry. We edit manuscripts intended for publication, articles, policies, reports, and other documents. Our editors have edited a large number of books that have been published.
We are experienced in:
- editing for (and/or with) writers of novels, short stories and non-fiction: articles, essays, life stories (memoir, autobiography), poetry, and reports including annual reports,
- editing for (and/or with) writers who are neurodivergent or have disabilities, including NDIS participants,
- editing for (and/or with) verbal storytellers, writers and poets from diverse backgrounds including people for whom English is not their first language, First Nations peoples, People of Colour, LGBTQIA+ and others,

Who we are
Sally-Anne – owner/operator
Sally-Anne is a professional member and registered mentor with Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd). She is highly experienced in editing memoirs, histories, academic and poetry publications, and reports – structural and developmental editing, copy editing and proofreading. She specialises in consulting with clients to write/edit their life stories or poetry, and producing publications from handwritten and/or spoken and/or typed words, to printed self-published book stage. She has extensive experience coaching (and/or editing for) people who are neurodivergent or have disabilities. Sally-Anne lives in Gippsland (VIC). Claire
Accredited editor and professional member of Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd). She has completed Diploma in Feature Writing (Honours) and IPEd’s Accreditation. Claire has extensive experience in editing and proofreading fiction and non-fiction publications. Claire also has advanced skills in InDesign and Word, and graphic design (publications). She lives in Melbourne (VIC).
Kellie
Professional member of Canberra Society of Editors and Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd). She has completed Cert IV in Professional Writing and Editing. She has extensive experience in copy editing and structural and developmental editing – reports and publications (non-fiction and fiction); and editing for/with people who are neurodivergent, and people with disabilities. Kellie is also an experienced writer/editing coach. She lives in Canberra, ACT.
Kyla-Jayne (KJ)
Professional member of Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd). She is experienced in editing with/for people who are neurodivergent and people with disabilities, including NDIS participants. Editing expertise: structural and developmental editing, and copy editing, in the genres of memoir, fantasy fiction and non-fiction. KJ is also an experienced writer/editing coach. She lives in Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
Deb
Professional member of Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd). She is experienced in editing with/for people who are neurodivergent and people with disabilities, including NDIS participants. Editing expertise: structural and developmental editing, in the genres of creative writing (stories), novels, and poetry. Deb is also an experienced writer/editing coach. She lives in Central Victoria.
