Welcoming Deb, our new poetry editor/coach who is proficient in Auslan

Deb Wain coach

We are thrilled to introduce our newest team member, Deb Wain, who lives in Central Victoria. Deb has extensive experience in editing poetry and other genres. She is trained and proficient in using Auslan, and will be using this skill to communicate with our clients who are Deaf, during their coaching sessions.

Deb joins our team of coaches who coach (and  edit for) people who are neurodivergent and/or have disabilities, including NDIS participants.

Deb’s editing and coaching expertise includes 15 years’ experience in developmental and copy editing of poetry, fiction and non-fiction, and running  poetry and other creative writing workshops. She is experienced in coaching clients who are neurodivergent or have disabilities.

Deb is a professional member of Institute of Professional Editors Ltd (IPEd). Her qualifications include Graduate Diploma of Professional Writing (2010), Graduate Diploma of Deaf Studies (Auslan), and PhD in Creative Writing – Keepers of Culture: Women, Food and Writing.
