What’s been happening in May

Well, it’s the end of May – a wintry time in south-eastern Australia – and as usual, it was a busy month at On Time.

Below is a summary of what we have been up to this month.

We’re currently working on structural (or developmental) edits of two manuscripts, for two clients – one in South Australia, the other in Northern Territory. We’ve taken on a job typing a client’s ancestor’s handwritten war diaries, which our typist has commenced transcribing today.

During the month we helped a few clients out with typing tasks, conducted research for a family history, and organised to recommence writing a client’s life story that the client had put on hold for a few months.

During May, we’ve begun providing writing coaching support to a couple of new NDIS participant clients. Our coaches are coaching them and other writers via one on one Zoom sessions by working with them on their own writing and guiding them to improve their writing, while talking through all issues related to writing and the particular topic they are writing about.  During this month our coaching team has also expanded again with the appointment of a new coach to our team – Lu Sexton – in addition to our other coaches, who are all listed here.

Our coaching team is now providing ongoing writer coaching support to over ten neurodivergent writers who are NDIS participants, and two neurotypical non-NDIS writers. These clients include male, female and trans writers, autistic writers, and writers who have conditions including bipolar disorder,  schizophrenia and intellectual disability.
