Gippsland Writers festival this weekend

Just giving the Gippsland Writers Festival a plug. It’s on this weekend in Yarram, Gippsland. You can register for it here.

It is rare, though not unknown, for me to spend the whole day at a writers or editors event, so I am quite excited. I will be there all day Saturday.  I’ll be there for the acknowledgment of Country at 10 am and then some really interesting presentations and panel discussions including the following events:

• The Importance of Good Character with Victoria Brownlee, Vanessa Len, Siang Lu and Ellie Marney
• Writing Our Selves and Our Histories: Past, Present and Future with Nikki Gemmell, Amy Han, Ashley Kalagian Blunt and Alli Parker
• A Cheeky Little Romance with Victoria Brownlee and Ella Ward
• Using Story to Reclaim Voice with Tash Agafonoff, Siang Lu, RWR McDonald and Ella Ward, and
• Danger/ Beauty: Wild Places in Literature with Vikki Conley, Nikki Gemmell and Mark Smith.

I’ll also be meeting up with writers and attendees at the festival event lunch in Yarram on Saturday with author Nikki Gemmel speaking.
