Update – Scribing Interview Reports

NT Government changed the format of their
reports in July, and so for a few months I was adapting to that change
and learning how to write the reports in the new format. I was then able
to review my rates and rewrite my quotes and invoices, so that
my charges are fair in that they reflect the time and skills required
to scribe interview reports in the new format. In discussions with NTG I
have expanded my usual ‘scribe role’ to now include more liaison with
HR to clarify issues that arise when producing the reports and a lot of
the information I write into the reports now doesn’t need to be
clarified or confirmed by the panel because it is quite objective.

One thing that never changes is that as scribe, my role is similar
to that of a ‘butler’ – always completely opinionless, and totally
confidential in all matters.
