New editor coach Dr Gail Wilson – Gold Coast, QLD
We are rapt to introduce our newest editor coach, Dr Gail Wilson, who lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and welcome her to our team.
Gail is an experienced editor with a long career as a teacher and manager in higher education. She has edited the work of adult writers, including people with limited literacy or difficulties in writing, and neurodivergent writers.
Gail has extensive experience in structural or developmental editing, including coach, in these genres: memoir, historical fiction, academic writing, and corporate writing. She has run workshops and coached many people in the writing of national teaching award applications. She is also an experienced peer-reviewer for higher education teaching and learning journals.
Gail’s many qualifications include Graduate Certificate of Editing and Electronic Publishing, Doctor of Philosophy, and Master of Arts (Education). As an academic, she has published journal articles, book chapters, and presented at teaching and learning related conferences. She has also served as Editor and Senior Editor on two teaching and learning focussed academic journals.
We look forward to developing a good working relationship with Gail and working with her to provide tailored coaching and editorial advice and support to our writer clients. We are particularly keen to match her up with the next NDIS-participant client who requests coaching support in academic writing.
