At Clunes BookTown Festival 2025 – what a blast

Life Stories Australia at Clunes BookTown Festival

I got home last night after a weekend at Clunes BookTown Festival. What a blast. I was running the stall with my Life Stories Australia (LSA) buddies Deb, Tim and Des, and LSA members Susan and Michelle presented a memoir-writing workshop that was packed out. At the LSA stall we showcased members’ clients books and members’ books, and the work that our LSA members do, and the benefits of asking an LSA member to produce your story or memoir or autobiography or biography as a book or film or as audio. We went out for tea together and shared stories and worked out stuff in general.

Thank you to my LSA buddies for a wonderful time and to all the thousands of people who came to Clunes and made it a wonderful weekend, and I would also like to thank the Sun for making the whole weekend comfortable, and the locals and stallholders alike for their wonderful and varied coffee, food and, of course, books.

A call out to some editor buddies I saw but have yet to catch up properly with, being @AJCollins and Kerry Biram as well as publishing industry contacts such as printers and other self-publishing services providers. And all those authors writing their memoir or just getting started with whom I had wonderful conversations.
