The On Time Typing, Editing and Proofreading team

On Time Typing, Editing and Proofreading (OTTEP) is owned and operated by Sally-Anne Watson Kane assisted by a team of 13 highly experienced typists, writers, scribes, editors, graphic designers and transcriptionists (all contractors), all of whom live in Australia. All our team members have signed strict Confidentiality Agreements with OTTEP, and all our typists, scribes, transcriptionists and editors have passed OTTEP’s accuracy tests.

Our diverse team of typists, scribes, writers, editors and graphic designers (all contractors) includes neurodivergent, gender diverse and First Nations people. We live in Canberra, ACT; Katoomba, NSW; Darwin, NT; Cairns, QLD; Adelaide, SA; Bendigo, Central and East Gippsland, Mornington and Melbourne, VIC.

Our clients include businesses, companies, individuals, government and non-government agencies across Victoria, Northern Territory, Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT.

  • Sally-Anne Watson Kane (Proprietor):  coaching, editing and proofreading (fiction, non-fiction and reports), specialising in memoir and poetry. Writing selection reports and referees’ reports. Producing self-published books, specialising in memoir, poetry and family histories. Producing transcripts. Scribing while you speak, online across Australia – reports, minutes, dictation, oral histories. Over 30 years’ experience in transcription, minute-taking, writing, scribing reports, writing and editing publications, and editing and producing books. Extensive experience in working with people who are neurodivergent and/or have disabilities. Professional member of Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd); professional member (and previous secretary of the board) of Life Stories Australia. Full member of Oral History Victoria.   • Meg Friel: scribing (main points or minutes) on site in Darwin area. Sensitivity reading/editing (Top End, or national, Indigenous content). Copy typing. Resumes. Writing selection reports and other corporate reports. Extensive experience in working with people who are neurodivergent, and people with disabilities. Holds Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Master of Education. Locally born and bred Aboriginal woman; lives in Palmerston, Northern Territory.
  • Claire McGregor: graphic design (InDesign, MS Word); editing and proof reading publications; qualified editor with over 20 years’ editing and proofreading experience. Holds Diploma of Feature Writing (Honours). Professional accredited member of Institute of Professional Editors Ltd (IPEd). Lives in Melbourne, Victoria.
  • Christine Howes: graphic design (Adobe InDesign and other programs); minute-taking and scribing while you speak, on site in Cairns area. Resumes. Writing. Lives in Cairns, Queensland.
  • Christina Carter:  graphic design (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word – Mac and PC): manuals, books, reports; editing photographs and images; formatting/design trouble-shooting. Holds Bachelor of Graphic Communication (Graphic Design). Lives in Melbourne, Victoria.
  • Deb Wain: extensive experience in coaching and editing for people who are neurodivergent, and/or have disabilities (including NDIS participants).  Proficient in Auslan and coaching clients who are Deaf. Editing (structural and copy editing) poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Holds a Graduate Diploma of Professional Writing, Graduate Diploma of Deaf Studies (Auslan), and PhD (Creative Writing) – Keepers of Culture: Women, Food and Writing. Professional member of Institute of Professional Editors Ltd (IPEd). Lives in Central Victoria.
  • Kellie Nissen: copy editing and structural editing (reports, fiction, memoir and other non-fiction). Extensive experience in coaching and editing for people who are neurodivergent, and/or have disabilities (including NDIS participants).  Holds Cert IV in Professional Writing and Editing. Professional member of Institute of Professional Editors Ltd (IPEd)  and  Canberra Society of Editors. Lives in Canberra, ACT.
  • Peter Loupelis: coaching in writing/self-editing. Neurodivergent editor (academic, general) with extensive experience coaching and supporting neurodiverse and people with disabilities (including NDIS participants). Associate member of Institute of Professional Editors Ltd (IPEd). Lives in Melbourne, Victoria.
  • Kyla-Jayne Rajah: experienced in coaching and editing for people who are neurodivergent, and/or have disabilities (including NDIS participants). Editing (structural and copy editing) fantasy, memoir and other genres. Professional member of Institute of Professional Editors Ltd (IPEd).   • Kyle Walmsley: scribing while you speak, online across Australia – reports, minutes, dictation, oral histories. Scribing Referee Reports. Writing reports.   • Jarrah Watson: scribing while you speak, online across Australia. Copy typing. Formatting and design. Experienced in a broad range of Microsoft and Adobe programs, digital illustration and graphic design, using Photoshop, Procreate, Adobe Animate, ToonBoom Harmony and Premiere Pro. Born and bred in Darwin; lives in Darwin, Northern Territory.
  • Fin Elwyn-Fey (he/they): scribing while you speak, online across Australia – reports, minutes, dictation, oral histories. Scribing Referee Reports. Copy typing reports and manuscripts or publications. Holds a Certificate II in Community Services including: Working with diverse people, and Promoting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety. Fin is a VCE/TAFE student who identifies as LGBTQI+ and gender diverse, and lives in Moe, Victoria.
  • Teresa Whiley: audio transcription – focus groups, interviews, dictation. Lives in Adelaide, South Australia.
